Lock in Quality to your system
Here at Pointer we are proud of the quality of the products and
services that we offer our customers. We define quality in our
business as meeting and exceeding your requirements for a system as
well as working to all relevant British and European Standards.

"Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of
intelligent effort." (John Ruskin, 1819-1900)
Our focus is on electronic security and fire detection
systems. We are a NSI Gold company.
How do we measure and ensure quality?
External Auditing
Pointer is externally assessed and accredited for our
achievements in quality performance. The company is accredited to
ISO9001 for quality, and adherence to our policy involves every
aspect of the company's business and it's employees.
- The QMS is based on the requirements set out in the latest
editions of ISO9001: 2008 and the NACOSS Quality Schedule SSQS 101
for the Design,
Planning, Installation and Maintenance of electronic
security systems.
- SSQS 102 for the operation of an Alarm Receiving Centre.
- FSQS 121 & BAFE SP203 for the Design, Installation,
Commissioning, Handover and Maintenance of Fire Detection & Alarm
Systems.
Systems, processes and performance are all regularly audited
and a full list of accrediting bodies can be found below.
Internal Auditing
Internally, we have established a comprehensive structure and
procedures which identify the roles and responsibilities of staff
in relation to quality matters.
However, it does remain that quality in business is a matter of
perspective and can often be highly subjective. Which is why we
have developed a thorough system to measure and report our
performance against set goals and criteria within our key accounts.
To this end, we developed the Pointer Dashboard, which is
a quantative means of measuring our status on a monthly or
quarterly basis against five key 'ometers'. If you are a national
accounts customer, or if you are interested in finding out more
about how this system works, please view the link in the side
panel.
