Ports

The need for enhanced,
quality-assured security systems within port environments is
twofold. On the one hand, there is a need for compliance with
the ISPS code. (ISPS = International Ships & Ports Security.)
On the other, there is the need to have coverage stay on top of
illegal activity which might take place on site (running the whole
gamut from terrorist activity to petty crime) as well
as environmental enforcement. A Pointer solution addresses
both needs.

Airports

We have been working at airports both air-side and land-sde
since 1997. Over that time, the threats have evolved as has the
technology to combat them. There is a constant threat of
disruption, criminal or terrorist activity and the consequential
loss of revenue. Recent projects include upgrade work on the main
terminal at Edinburgh Airport and Larnaca
Airport.

In the current climate, people are being made more accountable
for their business decisions and we already work with a number
of major airport clients, both in the UK and overseas (see our
Larnaca Airport Case Study) in order to protect their
reputations, front-line.
We're
specialists in the provision of systems which mitigate risk. As
prime contractor, system design, project managers and maintainers
for previous major works, we have utilised the Prince2 project
management methodology. We have qualified Prince2 practitioners and
other members of the project and account management team
experienced in working within a Prince2 environment.
Service and
Maintenance
Over the past ten years we have built up a strong portfolio of
works. From that we have developed a very strong service and
maintenance package which focuses on consistent service delivery,
measurement through key performance indicators (KPIs) and
prioritisation of upgrades and repairs.
