2011 Pointer Installation
Rest assured. Pointer has been managing large-scale installation
projects for blue chip and major public sector customers since 1994
and has built up considerable expertise in this area.
Our Contracts Manager is directly responsible for four Project
Managers and a project design engineer.
Two of the Project Managers are Prince 2 qualified. Other
members of the team are experienced in working in a Prince 2
environment. We are experienced in selecting specialist trades sub
contractors.
Project Design
Pointer has the necessary skills in house to lead and co-ordinate a
multi partner design
team.
Project Engineering
Our Major Project Team includes a highly
experienced Technical Manager whose role is to support the Project
Design team by providing specialist input and advice.
Installation Engineers
Pointer employs its own installation staff. We can be confident of
delivering the highest quality installation if our own trained
staff install the system components.

Specialist Trades
We have a roster of specialist trades whom we have used on a number
of contracts.
Commissioning Engineers
The system will be commissioned by Pointer's own commissioning
engineers. They will undertake all necessary tests and
certification.
Project Handover
The project handover will be carried out by the Project
Manager.
Training
Training on the system and its operation can be provided by staff
from Pointer's Learning and
Development Department. This will be in accordance with a
programme agreed in advance with you.
Health and Safety
The health
and safety programme will be managed by Pointer's retained
specialist consultant. The programme will encompass all statutory
Health and Safety requirements plus requirements specific to the
site.
Pointer has considerable experience working in hazardous
environments.
CAD / Manuals
Pointer has its own CAD and manual compilation facility and we
provide all appropriate drawings and documentation at the project
handover.
Security Vetting / Disclosures
Pointer has extensive experience organising and managing security
vetting of its staff (in adherence with NSI standards.) Where
appropriate Pointer also undertake the necessary vetting of
Subcontracting staff.
