Pointer has maintained and serviced the entire Scottish estate for a major name in retail and logistics for over 10 years. During that time the portfolio of properties has expanded as the client has opened more stores.

It now comprises an estate of over 70 units. The type of control panel has changed as have industry standards and police false alarm requirements.

The Pointer Solution

Pointer has responded to these changes by providing "best advice" to the client on how to mange these changes for the long term.

We have worked with the control panel manufacturer to improve the operating software and changed our internal systems to accommodate the changes in standards.

The most important lesson learned was to ensure that we fully understood the standards, explained them clearly to the client and made appropriate recommendations on how both their and our own operating procedures should be changed to accommodate them.
