I am sure that most of you tuned in to watch the Scottish Apprenticeship awards last week. Unfortunately we didn’t win the award for SME Employer of the Year but it was a great achievement to even be considered as a finalist.

Awards are not the only measure of success for our apprenticeship programme. Our main measure of success is the number of apprentices who qualify and then spend a long career at Pointer, most of whom are now highly valued managers in the business or senior members of our engineering team. We pride ourselves on employee retention and our customers love that they get to speak to the same people every time they deal with us.
