JOB TITLE:                     Communications and Marketing Co-ordinator

POSITION:                      Permanent

REPORTING TO:            Colleague, Culture & Communications Manager

LOCATION:                    Glasgow

ROLE PURPOSE

To develop, execute and evaluate a communications plan that will maximise colleague engagement and shape and evolve the Pointer culture through consistent and clear messaging.  In doing so the role will also, through regular review, enhance communications tools across the business ensuring these are open, transparent and two-way.  The role will also work closely with Sales to ensure external communications echo the same consistent messaging in the most effective way using appropriate tools and media channels, and support with event planning as the need arises.

ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES & MAJOR ACTIVITIES

  1. Develop and deliver a plan that will capture the opinions of our colleagues through effective use of the storytelling process, ensuring current “hot topics” impacting the business are focal points
  2. Continual review and refinement of our regular communications features e.g. Director letter, Pointer Patter and MD roadshows are consistent and engaging
  3. In addition to the existing content continue to research, and where relevant benchmark, to identify additional methods to further enhance our communications
  4. Equally maintain a focus on our external communications to ensure brand strength and awareness
  5. Supporting marketing activity as required, through organising/supporting marketing events and developing marketing literature and content
  6. Review and develop a fresh programme of colleague surveys to measure levels of engagement and develop action plans out of feedback obtained, by supporting managers in developing activity plans built around feedback
  7. To assist with recruitment activity, ensuring we maximise our profile externally
  8. Regular benchmarking of digital platforms and new developments in this space

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Communications/Marketing (desired)
  • Experience of working on internal/external communications
  • Organising marketing events
