JOB TITLE:                         Project Supervisor

POSITION:                          Permanent

REPORTING TO:                Project Manager

LOCATION:                         Scotland North

ROLE PURPOSE

Working closely with the Project Manager, the Project Supervisor has day to day responsibility for the successful delivery of the project in a safe and efficient manner, with a focus on quality and ensuring completion of the project to agreed specification and timescales. 

ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES & MAJOR ACTIVITIES

1.DELIVERY

  • Resources
    • Liaise with the Project Manager to maximise efficiency of resource on site.
    • Day to day liaison with the client
    • Day to day management of labour (both direct and indirect)
    • Procure materials and sub-contract labour where applicable
    • Co-ordinate with procurement and suppliers in respect materials
    • Liaise with Project Manager on resourcing and potential additional recruitment needs
    • Pro-actively help manage the recruitment of like-minded project engineers within Pointer process
  • Communication
    • Participation on weekly project call
    • Support client relationships, through attendance at regular client reviews
    • Input to monthly project review meetings on project plan/progress
    • Communicate challenges and solutions in a timely basis.
    • Solicit support from senior management and other colleagues as required
    • Monthly procurement and productivity reporting

2.DEVELOPMENT

  • To continuously develop both themselves and other members of staff responsible
  • To build the skills and experience both within your team and yourself using the principles of Intent Based Leadership

3.PROJECT COMPLETION

  • Project Setup/Kick Off on site
  • Site reporting and auditing
  • Final witnessing and commissioning where required
  • Project documentation close out (manuals)

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Project engineering experience in either Security or M&E
  • Proven client relationship management experience
  • Proven record of team management and site supervision
  • Experience in preparing RAMS specific to project
  • Working in substation environments advantageous
  • CDM awareness advantageous
  • SSSTS or SMSTS preferred
