Project Manager (Location Flexible: Glasgow, Inverness, or Aberdeen)

Are you ready to take the lead in delivering exceptional projects that adhere to strict standards in safety, efficiency, and quality? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join our team, with the flexibility to be based at our North Wallace Street Office in Glasgow, Inverness, or Aberdeen.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Project Input:

    • Spearhead pre-contract award activities for large-scale projects.

  2. Internal Planning Mastery:

    • Develop and own comprehensive internal project plans, covering planning documentation, meetings, resource allocation, preparation of RAMS, and project budget agreement.

  3. External Collaboration:

    • Conduct and manage planning meetings with clients and contractors.

  4. Communication Excellence:

    • Ensure regular and effective communication both internally and with clients.
    • Contribute actively to monthly project review meetings, providing accurate forecasts, monthly reports, timely valuation claims, and procurement/productivity reporting.

  5. Team Leadership:

    • Champion personal and colleague development, offering support to team members allocated to specific projects.

  6. Project Completion Prowess:

    • Oversee robust and accurate project completions, liaising closely with Quantity Surveyors.
    • Ensure timely and accurate completion of project manuals.

  7. Commercial Governance:

    • Understand project contracts and commercial obligations thoroughly.
    • Emphasize regular liaison with Quantity Surveyors for robust commercial governance.

What We Look for in You:

  • Professional Expertise:

    • Substantial project engineering experience.
    • Proven track record in client relationship management.
    • Demonstrated success in team management and development.

  • Qualifications and Skills:

    • Ideally possess a project management qualification/accreditation.
    • Accredited to or working towards ILM Level 5 or equivalent.
    • Experience in preparing RAMS specific to projects.

  • Attributes:

    • Excellent and engaging communication style.
