Empowering Women at Pointer: A Celebration of International Women’s Day

Pointer marked its first celebration of International Women’s Day with an unforgettable evening in Glasgow, dedicated to honoring the remarkable contributions of its female workforce. The event, held at Barolo, saw 23 women from across the UK gather for an evening of insightful talks, lots of laughter and, of course, great food!

Louise McCosh, Partner at AAB Group joined us as our special guest to mark the occasion.  Louise has worked in people consultancy for 15 years and has specialist experience working with SMEs and Owner Managed Businesses, and she is passionate about inspiring people and empowering organisations to create and sustain better, more productive workplaces

Louise shared invaluable wisdom on combating ‘imposter syndrome’ and fostering mutual support among women, emphasising the importance of self-value and collective empowerment. During her speech, she mentioned that this was the first time that she had attended an event like this for International Women’s day.

Reflecting on her experience, Louise remarked., ‘It was a pleasure to support and I was delighted to be involved in what was an all round inspiring and empowering evening! Such a great group of ladies coming together, and the energy in the room was fab – an inspired way to recognise International Women’s Day.’

In essence, Pointer’s International Women’s Day celebration was not just an event, but a reaffirmation of the vital role each woman plays within the organisation. As Pointer looks ahead, the company remains dedicated to creating more opportunities to celebrate and empower its colleagues. Cheers to many more inspiring moments and achievements ahead! .
