The General Data Protection Act, introduced to the EU on 25th May 2018, is the most important change to data privacy regulations in 20 years.

GDPR brought about a huge overhaul of the way that information was managed and how it was stored and protected. With that it has also given the ICO (Information Commissioners Office) the authority to impose  fines for any company seen to be breaching GDPR.

Here at Pointer, we want to keep our customers informed of how GDPR may affect their use of video surveillance systems and other security measures, with expert advice on how to implement a security system that will protect their business without compromising their GDPR Compliance.

To learn more about how we do this, read our Whitepaper below about GDPR and Video Systems.
